Handle ties physically join the handles of 2 adjacent 1-pole breakers creating a 2-pole independent trip breaker. This handle tie device is one of many load center accessories available. This device is to be used in Federal Pacific load centers only.
*Turn off power ahead of the load center before installing the handle tie bar
Installation of the handle tie should be done prior to installing the breakers in the load center
Slide breaker handles into the handle tie, Tabs in the handle tie fit into the breaker handle slot
